Insulating traditional roofs and green roofs. DELTA roof membranes

Roof Membranes. Thermal insulation and waterproofing of traditional roofs and green roofs

The direction of modern construction is the safety and durability of the materials used, including on the roof - which is one of the most important elements of the structure. Construction, renovation, repair - we are focused on long years of use, savings and safety of residents. The company Dörken Delta Folie Sp. z o.o. offers roof membranes that meet all of the above considerations when implementing and finishing the "fifth facade" of a property. Thanks to DELTA roof membranes, we have a high degree of thermal insulation and the roof structure is protected against moisture - both from the outside and from the inside, allowing the building to breathe and drain moisture from its interior.

What are DELTA roof membranes?

DELTA roof membranes work in two ways - they trap water from the outside, preventing it from getting inside, and at the same time they drain water vapor from the inside - from the rooms to the outside.

Green roofs: intensive (so-called usable) and extensive (so-called non-usable)

Green roofs are characterized by increased requirements in terms of construction and care. If we properly prepare such an implementation, taking care of a good selection of materials, it will allow us to use not only grasses, herbs or perennials but also trees. Delta FLORAXX and DELTA FLORAXX FLAT products have excellent water collection properties. Thanks to their unique 20 mm high bucket design, they act as a water reservoir to support vegetation.

An intensive roof is one that requires more care. It contains large plants, a dense lawn, which is all that can be found in a traditional garden.
An extensive roof
, on the other hand, consists of dry-loving vegetation that does not require special care. Plants are mainly sedums, rockeries, ornamental grasses, some herbs, hornworts, sagebrush, thymes.

    Traffic routes

Creating durable and long-lasting traffic routes requires knowledge of the tasks of the various functional layers, knowledge of their construction and the resulting requirements. For pedestrian communication it is possible to use the above-mentioned solutions for green roofs, similarly with the drainage layer. The difference is the replacement of the vegetative layer with a sub-base, which will form the load-bearing base for the paved surface. DELTA FLORAXX is laid from a roll, while DELTA FLORAXX FLAT is laid in sheets applied directly to the geotextile. In addition, Dörken offers solutions for high-stress traffic routes.
