Their architecture charms with pragmatism. There is also a note of nonchalance in it, maybe even romanticism? That's when they don't want to build glass railings because birds die on them. Ultra, no? Or "Pregnant Lamp," where tits live in the very center of Poznań. Also ultra cool. Or the trees and plants they programmatically smuggle into their latest urban projects. Oh, that's just ultra-important, especially in the context of climate change, because every tree produces oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide. You probably already know where the studio's name comes from.
They sized their office, wrote the dimensions on each wall, and in CMYK. Such a game. Back to Jan Kaplický. It looks as if everything is going smoothly for them and as if they are having a little fun with this design. Although they put up the buildings in a serious way, they keep an eye on the detail, and struggle with the architectural mundanity. Instead, they do not race in competitions, which is a shame, because they would certainly fight for better space and architecture in our cities successfully. And they would probably forestall this urbanized space [laughs]. Actually, why not?
