Performing arts is a category of artistic activity encompassing all artistic activity taking place exclusively in the presence of an audience, and therefore all dynamic forms of artistic expression: dance, theater, music, cinema.

Performing arts are presented both in built-up spaces and in the open air. In the former case, they take place on indoor stages (for example, in theater buildings or inside performance halls), while in the latter - in amphitheaters and on stages, uncovered stage platforms and ramps. Many such facilities are models of noteworthy modernization and revitalization, such as Bristol Old Vic in the UK - a rebuilt Victorian theater, enhanced with a new foyer and studio. Others sometimes reflect the history of the theater, as the evolution of the appearance of theatrical edifices was not infrequently implied by successive theatrical reforms, representing important caesuras and turning points in the history of this art. The inspiration of experimental total theater discernible in the realizations of Walter Gropius can serve as an example.

Współzałożyciel krakowskiego stowarzyszenia Przestrzeń-Ludzie-Miasto i członek rady Fundacji Instytut Architektury. Brał udział w przygotowaniu wystaw (m.in. „Za-mieszkanie 2012. Miasto ogrodów, miasto ogrodzeń”, „Figury niemożliwe” - Pawilon Polski na 14. Biennale Architektury w Wenecji, „Transformacja. Przestrzenie wolności", „Tożsamość. 100 lat polskiej architektury”) i projektów edukacyjnych, koordynator projektów Krakowski Szlak Modernizmu i Pomoszlaku. Architekt, absolwent Wydziału Architektury Politechniki Krakowskiej, stypendysta rządu francuskiego na Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville. Studiował także w Amsterdamie i Kopenhadze.
