A single-family house designed by the Kunkiewicz Architekci office was built in the Lublin region on the site of an old habitat, after which outbuildings and a summer house were preserved. The plot was straightforwardly a dream site for a modern barn that would complement the existing buildings.

When architects from Kunkiewicz Architekci were asked to design a single-family house, they went to a plot of land located in Świdnik in the Lublin region. On the site intended for construction they found the remains of an old habitat: a red brick building, a wooden barn and beautiful, stately old trees. The authors couldn't have dreamed up a better setting for their design work! The plot was the perfect place to design a modern barn that would complement the existing buildings.

The new building was built on a rectangular plan with a bay window on the garden side, which includes a dining room with access to a terrace. The gable wall has an overhanging frame, characteristic of the modern barn style. The entire structure is covered with a simple gabled roof of anthracite flat concrete tiles. Natural finishing materials were used on the facade - full brick from the local Trojanowscy brickyard, larch wood and quartz sinter.

The house has an area of one hundred and sixty square meters, with a spacious living room, dining room and kitchen with an open roof truss, as well as a private and technical area. Complementing the homestead development is a detached garage with space for two cars, referring with the finishing materials of the facade and roof to the designed house.
