Cemex was the first company in Poland to receive the gold certificate issued by the Concrete Sustainability Council for production plants in three business lines. 10 plants located in the country and representing 3 business lines - cement production, aggregates production and concrete production - were evaluated.
CSC certification includes a multifaceted assessment of the company's activities in the areas of sustainable production processes, environmental innovation and measures taken to reduce environmental impact. The gold certificate is a great honor for Cemex, as well as confirmation of the effectiveness of our sustainability efforts. The certificates we have received will also allow our customers to gain even greater benefits in implementing their investments in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. Thanks to the use of products manufactured at certified plants, it is possible to receive additional points in the BREEAM, LEED, DNGB multi-criteria building certification processes.

The CSC certificate includes verification of the most important sustainability criteria, including environmental, economic and social aspects. To achieve a high level of certification, it was also important to demonstrate the implementation of closed-loop economy principles in production, that is, the use of waste materials from other industries. CSC certification is a confirmation of thoughtful resource management and a verified supply chain in the production of concrete, cement and aggregates.
