UIA-HYP Cup 2024 is an international architecture competition aimed at male and female architecture students from around the world. The event provides a unique opportunity for young male and female architects to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience in an international environment. This year's edition focuses on "Architecture in Transition," specifically on the restructuring of urban spaces. Attractive financial prizes await the winners, and all entries will be judged by a renowned jury chaired by Pritzker Prize winner Wang Shu.
purpose
The goal of the competition is to identify the most innovative and creative architectural designs that respond to contemporary urban challenges of spatial restructuring and increasing urban density.
terms of participation
Participants are to design an urban space of 500x500 meters that combines residential functions with services, while preserving the original urban layout and striving for ecological and sustainable development
The competition is open to male and female students of architecture and related fields worldwide, including doctoral/doctoral students and 2024 graduates/graduates. Submissions can be made individually or in teams of up to four people. Teams can be formed by students/graduates from no more than two different universities.

1st Prize: Certificate and 100,000 RMB (approximately $13,700 USD).

competition jury
The competition jury is composed of prominent architects and deans of architecture schools from around the world. The jury is chaired by Wang Shu, winner of the prestigious 2012 Pritzker Architecture Prize, dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Chinese Academy of Arts, and a lecturer at the French Academy of Architectural Sciences. The jury also includes experienced professionals who will evaluate the submissions for innovation, compatibility with the theme and realization potential.
