The Polish Green Building Association (PLGBC) has announced the next edition of the Green Building Awards, a competition that recognizes the best green initiatives and sustainable buildings built in Poland.
purpose
The purpose of the competition organized by PLGBC is to recognize the commitment of its participants to the development of sustainable construction in Poland, as well as to raise awareness of this development among construction market participants in Poland and around the world.
terms and conditions
Thecompetition organized by the Polish Green Building Association is anonymous, open and one-stage competition. Entry to the competition is free of charge.
You can submit buildings that are currently in the design phase, implementation phase or have already been completed, as well as interiors in completed buildings in Poland. Entries may also include products and services of companies operating in Poland.
Applicants may be:
- companies, organizations or institutions that have designed, built, own or manage a building
- companies and students who have designed a building, and its construction has not yet started, is in progress or is a conceptual project (without designation for construction)
- companies, organizations or institutions that have designed or own a specific interior (room, group of rooms) in the building
- companies and organizations that provide services and products for the construction and real estate sectors
Each participant may enter several buildings in one or more categories, but each entry may be in a maximum of two categories.
To enter the competition, fill out the appropriate form on the organizer's website and send the application with all required attachments to: [email protected]. The exact guidelines for the attachments required to apply for participation in each category are available in the competition regulations.
The competition jury evaluates submissions according to four criteria:
- sustainable construction
- architecture (in selected categories)
- innovative ideas
- social value, accessibility
categories
Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Sustainable office building
- Sustainable industrial building
- Sustainable building in the service sector
- Sustainable residential development (multi-family and single-family)
- Sustainable public sector building
- Sustainable retrofit
- Sustainable interior
- Sustainable building design (professional and student)
- Building with the lowest carbon footprint calculated according to PLGBC methodology
- Sustainable product/service of the year
- Green city/municipal initiative
Each category will be awarded a prize in the form of a statuette and a diploma, as well as an honorable mention in the form of a diploma.
