On October 22 this year's 15th edition of the competition for the Marshal's Award for the Best Public Space in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, a competition initiated by the Pomeranian Voivodeship Government in 2004, was resolved. In this edition, the competition covered spaces put into use between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020, and the committee evaluating the projects paid special attention to issues related to counteracting the effects of climate change and accessibility.
The projects were evaluated by the Competition Commission chaired by Marshal Mieczyslaw Struk. It consisted of representatives of the Provincial Urban Planning and Architectural Commission - Prof. Karolina Krośnicka of the Gdansk University of Technology Faculty and Dr. Joanna Rayss of the Landscape Architecture Association; external experts - prof. Iwona Dzierżko-Bukal of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts, and Dr. Piotr Czyż, President of the Board of Directors of the City Initiative Association, as well as representatives of the Pomorskie Voivodeship Government - Anna Blazewicz-Stasiak, Deputy Director of the Pomeranian Regional Planning Office, and Anna Bizub-Jechna, coordinator for architectural accessibility at the Office of the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.
The award in the 15th edition of the competition was given to the Pruszcz Gdański Municipality for the revalorization of the court park in the natural and landscape complex in Wojanowo designed by Kowiel Technical Office.

Honorable mention in the category Best project implemented in public space in a rural area was awarded to the Municipality of Brusy for the revalorization of green areas in the manor garden in Wielkie Chelmy designed by the Landscape Architecture Studio Zielony Filtr, whileIn the category Best project implemented in public space in urban areas - the Municipality of Gdynia for Woonerf in Abrahama Street in Gdynia designed by teams from A2P2 architecture & planning and NANU Pracownia Architektoniczna.
