Competition for developing a concept for the development of public space in the area of Chmielna Street as part of the New Center of Warsaw program

On June 10, 2021, the results of the competition to develop a concept for the development of public space in the area of Chmielna Street as part of the New Center of Warsaw program were announced. The competition had a one-stage character.
The area of the competition study is located in the functional downtown zone, in the very center of Warsaw. The realization scope of the study included Chmielna Street (on the section from Nowy Świat Street to the Stanislaw Wiechecki "Wiecha" Passage, excluding the so-called Pięciu Rogów Square) and Bracka Street (on the section from Jerozolimskie Avenue to the so-called Pięciu Rogów Square, together with the street's extension adjacent to this square). In turn, the study area concerned Widok Street, along its entire section.

Three awards and one honorable mention were given. The winner was the concept by RS Architektura Krajobrazu Dorota Rudawa.
