descriptionIn yet another national architectural competition organized by the National Heritage Institute in cooperation with the local branch of SARP under the title "Your home - dialogue with tradition", the theme was Podlasie. The Foundation for the Protection of Monuments "Na Rubieży" in Bialystok and the Podlaskie Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments were invited to cooperate in this installment of the competition.
The task of the competition, which was addressed to architects and architecture students, was to develop an architectural and construction design of a single-family, detached house that would fit in with the traditional cultural landscape of the Podlasie region - a finished design, that is, one that can be used repeatedly. The goal of the competition was to find new patterns of single-family housing that would be a contemporary continuation of the best traditions of rural construction in the Podlaskie province.
The jury, chaired by Maciej Miłobędzki and composed of: Małgorzata Dajnowicz (Podlaskie Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments), Artur Gaweł (Podlaskie Museum of Folk Culture), Iwona Górska (National Heritage Institute), Iwona Liżewska (National Heritage Institute), arch. Joanna Porębska (National Heritage Institute), arch. Janusz Grycel (SARP o/Bialystok, POIA RP, Referee), arch. Agnieszka Guziejko (SARP o/Bialystok, Referee), arch. Miroslaw Siemionow (SARP o/Bialystok, POIA RP, Referee), arch. Piotr Trojniel (SARP o/Bialystok, Referee) awarded two prizes in the student category, and in the professional category - four prizes and seven honorable mentions.
In the student category, the winner was Marianna Waśniewska's project, the second place went to Kornelia Traut's proposal.
In the professional category, First Prize was awarded to the proposal of the team composed of: Katarzyna Billik, Katarzyna Górowska-Gnatowska, Anna Majewska-Karolak and Łukasz Szczepanowicz, 2nd Prize went to the duo of Marzena Radkiewicz-Metko and Przemysław Metko, and equal 3rd Prizes went to B.W. Architekci, Pracownia Projektowa s.c. Beata Szczepańska, Juliusz Polak, Katarzyna Gromek, Aleksandra Milanowska and DUOARCHITEKCI - Lech Borysewicz.
First degree honorable mentions were awarded to Jagoda Gosk and Karolina Banasiak; Marcin Podlewski; Ewa Bubik, Anna Capinska, Adam Stafiniak, Tomasz Węgrzyn . Other honorable mentions were awarded to the following teams: JBD - Justyna Boduch Atelier; OLIZAROWICZ ARCHITEKCI Jacek Olizarowicz; Michał Kołodziej, Katarzyna Przybyło, Tomasz Obara, Bartosz Dendura; Magdalena Siemienowicz, Jolanta Szybiak.
