On October 28, 2022, we learned the results of the 28th edition of the Architecture of the Year competition of the Silesian Voivodeship.

As every year, the competition was organized by SARP Katowice and the Silesian Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland.

The competition was open and addressed to both designers and investors. The competition "Architecture of the Year of the Silesian Voivodeship - the year 2022" was open to submissions of works(cubature objects and interiors) located in the Silesian Voivodeship, as well as outside the Voivodeship, but realized by architects from the Silesian Voivodeship. The objects had to be completed by the end of 2021.

Works were selected in the categories: Grand Prix, Object, Export Work and Interior.

The submitted objects were evaluated by the Competition Jury consisting of:

The main prize in the Object category, and at the same time the Grand Prix , was awarded to the SLAS ARCHITEKCI team's project to expand the building of the State Music School of the First and Second Degree in Jastrzębie Zdrój.

The award in the Object category also went to the Headquarters of the Zagłębie Chamber of Commerce in Dąbrowa Górnicza, designed by Marlena Wolnik and Karolina Więcławik.

Honorable mention in the Export Work category went to the Windmill House designed by Michał Kucharski, Mateusz Piwowarski, Sylwia Ciesielska and Tomasz Padło.

The award in the Interiors category went to the reconstruction of the attic of an apartment building in Gliwice by the Dyrda Fikus Architekci team.
