The realization competition for the design of the Jurassic EcoMalopolska Nature Education Center and the headquarters of the Cracow Branch of the National Park of the National Park of the Natural History of Poland has been resolved. The premise is to be built in Cracow, on the site of former barracks on Modrzewiowa Street within the Bielańsko-Tyniecki Landscape Park.

The task facing the participants was to design a building or a complex of buildings that would house exhibition, conference and office-administrative functions alongside educational and workshop space.

Seven works were submitted for the competition. The competition jury, chaired by Kazimierz Butelski, Ph.D., professor at the Cracow University of Technology, and composed of Dr. hab. Zbigniew Myczkowski (Chair of A-8 of the Cracow University of Technology), Paweł Koperski (3D-Architekci), Dr. Małgorzata Fedorczak-Cisak (Małopolskie Center for Energy-Efficient Construction, Cracow University of Technology), Józef Gawron (Deputy Marshal of the Małopolska Region), Piotr Dmytrowski (Manager of the Cracow branch of ZPKWM), Bożena Boba-Dyga (Vice-Chairwoman of the National Council of Conservators of Works of Art at the Main Board of the Association of Polish Artists) and Paweł Kamiński (Director of the Małopolska Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital) awarded three prizes.

First place went to the proposal prepared by the Jędrak-Kościesza design studio from Warsaw, second place to the project by the ENONE Architektura Rafał Sokołowski studio from Pabianice, and third place to the Cracow office of Marcin Furtak Pracownia Projektowa F-11.
