descriptionOn February 10, 2022, the Gdansk Roads and Greenery Authority published the results of an architectural competition for the conceptual design of new shelters, for bus and streetcar stops in Gdansk.
The goal of the competition was to create bus and streetcar shelters that would provide comfort for passengers waiting for a bus or streetcar, protection from the weather, as well as the ability to place the shelter on an area with a significant slope.
Only one entry submitted to the competition met the conditions outlined in the regulations. The Competition Jury decided not to award First Prize due to the lack of a competition entry that satisfactorily and comprehensively met the Competition Committee's expectations in terms of functionality, aesthetics and economy of the proposed solutions.
The Competition Jury awarded the Second Prize to Jacek Ryń Studio. Post-competition recommendations have been determined, which should be introduced in the context of implementation of competition solutions/
