The competition for the architectural and urban planning concept for the new building of the Faculty of Computer Science of the West Pomeranian University of Technology was settled on April 28, 2023.

The purpose of the competition was to obtain the best concept in terms of functionality, space and architecture for the new building of the Faculty of Computer Science of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin.

The new building is to include modern lecture, seminar, exercise and research rooms, a reading room in the form of an open area for design and study, a fabrication zone, a student foodport and a relaxing space full of greenery. The new edifice is expected to be ready in late 2026/2027.

The competition was a limited, one-stage competition organized in cooperation with SARP Szczecin Branch.

The works were judged by a jury consisting of:

  • Maciej Miłobędzki - chairman of the competition court, SARP Warsaw Branch,
  • Karol Barcz - referee, SARP Branch Szczecin,
  • Piotr Śmierzewski - SARP Koszalin Branch,
  • Karol Nieradka - SARP Szczecin Branch,
  • Grzegorz Wojtkun, Ph.D. - Prof. ZUT,
  • Dr. Mirosław Łazoryszczak - ZUT,
  • Hubert Góralski - deputy chancellor of ZUT.
