Results of the 5th edition of the Brick Architecture Competition.

descriptionOn October 7 this year we learned the results of the 5th edition of the Brick Architecture Competition.
As every year, the purpose of the competition was to demonstrate the workshop skills of male and female architecture students at universities, in the field of architectural design using clinker products on the facade of buildings.
The award is always given in two categories:
- Category I: Single-family house (optimal solution of the concept of a single-family house with a clinker façade, both in terms of aesthetics and functionality),
- Category II: Building of the Future (creativity and innovation in future architectural solutions for buildings with clinker façade).
The evaluation of the works submitted by 94 male and female students was carried out by a jury consisting of:
- Jan Belina-Brzozowski,
- Daria Kieżun,
- Bohdan Lisowski,
- Grzegorz Stiasny,
- Marek Furmańczyk.
In each category, the jury awarded three prizes and honorable mentions.
In both categories, the First Prize of PLN 5,000 went to Mateusz Binda of the Cracow University of Technology.
In addition, the winner received an invitation to a paid internship at FS&P ARCUS studio in Warsaw (1st Prize in the Single-Family House category) and APA Wojciechowski Architekciin Warsaw (1st Prize in the Future Building category).
