description
On March 27 the results of a one-stage, implementation competition for the development of an urban-architectural concept for the development of Krakowska Street from Wolności Square to Market Square, including its area in Opole, were announced at Opole City Hall.
The aim of the competition was, among other things, to raise the aesthetic and functional value of the indicated section, to increase the quality of the space and to include a tourist attraction in the form of the so-called Avenue of the Stars of Polish Song commemorating the artists who performed at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. According to the assumptions of the competition, the space of the square is to be friendly, comfortable and safe for people with reduced mobility and to become a showpiece of the city.
