The City of Gliwice, in cooperation with the Katowice branch of the Association of Polish Architects (executive organizer) and Zarząd Budynków Miejskich II Towarzystwo Budownictwa Społecznego (project manager), announced an implementation competition for the development of an urban-architectural concept for a complex of multi-family residential buildings with underground garages, service premises, landscaping and external infrastructure, located at ul. Piaskowa in Gliwice.

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, one-stage.

The subject of the competition is the development of an urban-architectural concept for a complex of multi-family residential buildings with a minimum number of apartments of 120, along with underground garages and a service premises (with an area of about 100 m²), land development and external infrastructure.

Low and medium-high buildings are allowed (up to and including 9 floors and 20 m in height). The buildings should be designed with spaces for trolley / bicycle rooms of min. 15 m² located on the underground floor or on the first floor. Each apartment should be equipped with a balcony / loggia and a storage room. It is recommended that the area of the balcony / loggia for a typical apartment should not exceed an area of 7 m². The storage room in the apartment is to be a separate, independent and ventilated room closed with a door, the area of the storage room should be adjusted in proportion to the size of the apartment. One apartment for a person with disabilities is to be included in each building on the first floor. Biologically active areas must constitute a minimum of 50% of the plot area.

The competition task is to create a user-friendly residential development that fits into the cultural context of the city and the specifics of the area, preserving the existing tree stand to the maximum extent possible. The buildings should be economical in construction, energy efficient (renewable energy sources - photovoltaic installation on the roof of each building), environmentally friendly, with relatively low operating costs. The value of the index of annual demand for non-renewable primary energy EP for each building must not exceed 52 kWh/(m² x year). The share of renewable energy in the total primary energy required for the operation of the building should be a minimum of 40%.

The Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński Bagatela Theater in Cracow has announced an implementation competition for the concept of reconstruction of the building on the corner of Karmelicka and Krupnicza streets. The jury was headed by Janusz Sepioł, Architect of the City of Cracow.

The purpose of the competition is to select the best functional-spatial and arrangement concepts. The concepts should provide for future-proof and feasible solutions, both in terms of economic efficiency of the construction process, low operating costs during the life of the building, and positive impact on people and the environment.

The main idea of the competition is to find the optimal spatial-utilitarian layout while meeting the numerous requirements arising from the realities of the theater's functioning in its current form, as well as technical constraints or those arising from local law and conservation requirements.

The second major goal of the redevelopment is to redefine the classical function of the theater as a place for the performance of art on stage. Incorporating the lower foyer area into public space by widening the busy urban street zone and creating a place for people to meet, for the presentation of original works in the form of mini-galleries and art installations, or for the presentation of commercial or informational content is intended to bring art and people closer together. This unusual approach of juxtaposing the theatrical sacrum, i.e. performances, anterograde, specific climate of meetings with the profane, i.e. the everyday life of the urban street is intended to define a new quality of space and have a positive impact on social awareness and make the theater's offer more attractive.

The competition is a limited, one-stage, implementation competition .

The building consists of two originally separate buildings: located along Karmelicka Street, a tenement built after the end of the 19th century, where the administrative function was located along with acting and technical facilities, and located along Krupnicza Street, a tenement added in the 1920s for theatrical performances, with small social and technical facilities, which has been rebuilt several times, so that it has completely lost its historical appearance. The townhouses are connected to each other both structurally and functionally, and the differences between the levels of the two parts indicate the lines of historical division.

The main space of the theater - the lower and upper foyers - should relate in style to the urban street, framed, however, in a modern, subdued and elegant aesthetic framework. It is to serve as a background for the presentation of artistic, advertising and informational content. The lower foyer is to be designed to be accessible all day, regardless of artistic events or performances taking place in the facility. The theater auditorium is to be designed using minimalist means of expression, to be a coherent aesthetic continuation of the space of the two foyers, while providing full visual and acoustic comfort for the audience and artists performing on stage. The part of the building entered in the register of historical monuments is characterized by a strongly blurred style of 19th-century
bourgeois "glamour". Efforts should be made to recreate it as faithfully as possible in terms of functionality, while preserving historical details. At the same time, in order to integrate the two parts stylistically, similar stylistic and material treatments should be used to give the whole a new, coherent expression.

The Municipality of Elblag announces a competition for the development of a program and spatial concept for the construction of a new, as well as the expansion and reconstruction of the existing seaport terminal in Elblag.

The purpose of the competition is to obtain the best functional and usable solutions for the construction of the T2 terminal at Żytnia Street in Elbląg, including its connection with the existing and planned port and road infrastructure, as well as for the expansion and reconstruction of the port terminal at Radomska Street.

Architectural, urban planning and programmatic and spatial solutions for the newly designed and expanded terminal should increase the potential of the Elblag seaport as an international, dynamic logistics center, ensuring the handling of the greatest possible amount of cargo and the maximum reduction of their handling time.

The competition is a limited, one-stage competition.

The competition work should include a concept for the development of the entire area covered by the competition and present a vision of the target development and construction for the entire T2 terminal at Żytnia Street, divided into individual stages that will determine the further development of the T2 port terminal.

The entire concept will consist of solutions for:

• construction of the T2 port terminal at Zytnia Street in Elblag, including, among others, reconstruction and strengthening of quays, construction of a railroad siding, warehouse, office building,
• reconstruction with expansion of provincial road No. 503,
• reconstruction and expansion of the port terminal at Radomska Street.

The Polish Lighting Industry Association has announced an open, international competition to design a house that is in harmony with nature - harmoniously blending into the landscape and environment. The competition is aimed at students of architecture, design and art who want to face the challenge of creating a building that responds to the needs of a modern, sustainable lifestyle.

The goal of the competition is to create a concept for a home - single-family, multi-family or seasonal - that is in harmony with its surroundings and the environment. The design should take into account the principles of sustainable construction, local considerations, conscious choice of materials, and conscious shaping of the relationship with the landscape and light - both natural and artificial.

The house should promote relaxation and contact with nature. The organizers encourage a creative approach and the search for original formal, functional and aesthetic solutions.

The competition is international, open and one-stage.

The project should:

• present a building integrated with the natural environment - urban, rural or recreational,
• use local, renewable or low-emission materials (e.g., wood, clay, recycled brick),
• envision green zones - garden, terrace, green roof, orangery or other form of natural space,
• analyze the role of light - daylight and artificial - in creating the quality of space,
• use KANLUX lighting fixtures in a way that is functional and consistent with the architecture,
• avoid light pollution (light pollution),
• include a description of the idea and design boards in B1 format.

The organizers encourage bold but well-thought-out proposals - ones that combine ecology with aesthetics, function and realization possibilities.

The Polish Lighting Industry Association has announced an open, international competition to develop a design for a night light possible through 3D printing technology. The competition is aimed at designers, architects and students who want to face the challenge of creating a modern lighting fixture - practical, aesthetic and implementable.

The purpose of the competition is to obtain original, functional and feasible concepts for a night lamp - a light fixture with a replaceable LED light source (E27 thread), designed for a bedroom (home or hotel), which can be implemented using 3D printing technologies. The design should take into account user comfort, glare reduction and modern design aesthetics.

The lamp should respond to the user's needs, promote relaxation and at the same time be an interesting element of the interior. A creative approach and a fresh form are what counts.

The competition is international, open and one-stage.

The design should:

• be designed for 3D printing (FDM, SLA or SLS),
• use an LED light source with an E27 thread,
• fit into the function of a bedside lamp - it can be a standing, countertop, wall lamp or pendant,
• eliminate the effect of glare,
• meet the assumptions of good design: functionality, aesthetics, feasibility,
• be feasible in a small amount - a prototype or small batch production.

The organizers encourage experimentation with form, texture, light and structure. The project does not have to include electronic parts - it is about the setting itself.

Tegoroczna edycja konkursu architektonicznego „HUB it! – HUBnij to!” otwiera nowy rozdział w dialogu między światem zrównoważonego transportu a środowiskiem akademickim. Organizowany przez Polskie Stowarzyszenie Nowej Mobilności (PSNM) konkurs skierowany jest do studentek i studentów uczelni artystyczno-inżynierskich, zainteresowanych tworzeniem nowoczesnych rozwiązań architektoniczno-mobilnych dla współczesnych miast.

Celem konkursu jest wypracowanie nowatorskich koncepcji mikro-terminali transportowych – stacji końcowych dla pojazdów mikromobilności, takich jak rowery i hulajnogi elektryczne, wpisujących się w zintegrowany system zrównoważonej mobilności miejskiej. Projektowane HUB-y mają pełnić funkcję nie tylko komunikacyjną, ale również społeczną – jako miejsca spotkań, kultury, wypoczynku i środowiskowej integracji.

Mikro-terminal powinien stanowić odpowiedź na współczesne wyzwania związane z mobilnością, zmianami klimatycznymi oraz potrzebą uporządkowania przestrzeni miejskiej w skali „ostatniej mili” — czyli końcowego odcinka codziennej drogi użytkowników. Istotne będzie tu także włączenie rozwiązań proekologicznych i innowacyjnych, takich jak lokalna produkcja i magazynowanie energii, gospodarowanie wodą opadową czy funkcje edukacyjne i społeczne.

Konkurs ma charakter otwarty, jednoetapowy i ogólnopolski.

Uczestnikami mogą być zespoły maksymalnie 3-osobowe, z obowiązkowym udziałem minimum jednej osoby studiującej na kierunku architektura. Do udziału dopuszczeni są także studenci wzornictwa przemysłowego i innych kierunków projektowych. Warunkiem uczestnictwa jest rejestracja na stronie konkursu oraz terminowe złożenie pracy.

Zadaniem konkursowym jest wskazanie lokalizacji dla mikro-terminalu w wybranej strefie aglomeracji miejskiej oraz opracowanie jego koncepcji architektonicznej z uwzględnieniem:

• infrastruktury dla mikromobilności (przechowywanie, ładowanie, wypożyczanie pojazdów),

• integracji z systemem komunikacji miejskiej,

• elastyczności przestrzennej (adaptatywność do zmiennych potrzeb użytkowników),

The Municipality of Rumia has announced an implementation competition for the development of an architectural and urban planning concept for the area of the center of Old Rumia. The historic city center is to become an attractive space for Rumia residents.

The purpose of the competition is to obtain the best design solutions to guarantee the transformation of the area of the historic center of the city of Rumia into a space attractive to residents, with a new potential, taking into account the principles of universal design by adapting the space to the needs of all users, with particular emphasis on the historical character of the place and the Kashubian tradition. The area covered by the competition is the most important area for building the city's identity based on its historical significance. The designed space is to be a place close to people, full of identity, historical memory and contemporary energy, beating with the rhythm of meetings, culture, neighborhood life.

The area covered by the competition is an area of about 2.6 hectares, divided into three design areas: Kashubian Square, Freedom Square, a section of Church Street, a walking route along the Zagórska Struga River (Area A), and in subsequent stages: the adaptation of the historic mill building (now the building of the Rescue and Fire Fighting Unit) (Area B) and the concept for the development and roofing of the Rëmsczie Rënk Municipal Market (Area C).

The competition is an implementation competition, open, one-stage.

The design for the development of the area is to take into account the existing conditions and the planned communications infrastructure, as well as to propose attractive spatial solutions for residents, using the idea of a "place with soul " - a square that fully respects Rumanian and Kashubian traditions. The competition work should include, among other things, the adaptation of the historic mill building and the development of the market area for the organization of commercial and cultural events.

The project should utilize elements of a bottom-up approach, and involves the local community at the planning and implementation stages.

The Office of the Wielka Wieś Commune and the Association of Polish Architects, Krakow Branch, announce a competition for the design of the building of the Primary School in Modlniczka.

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, one-stage.

The planned investment includes the construction of a new elementary school building or buildings for 500 students with an attractive solution for the land development of the plot. The concept should take into account leaving a reserve of land for the possible realization of a kindergarten complex for 100 children, an auditorium for a minimum of 100 people or the expansion of the school with additional school divisions.

The investor's intention is to build a facility that responds to the challenges of the 21st century, such as the development of new forms and models of education, taking into account pro-environmental solutions, including those resulting from climate change and rising costs of infrastructure maintenance.

Urząd Gminy Istebna ogłosił otwarty konkurs architektoniczny na koncepcję nowego budynku amfiteatru w Istebnej — przyszłego miejsca wydarzeń kulturalnych dla całej gminy!

Konkurs jest konkursem koncepcyjnym, otwartym, jednoetapowym.

W konkursie mogą brać udział podmioty, które posiadają niezbędną wiedzę i doświadczenie, dysponują potencjałem technicznym oraz osobami zdolnymi do wykonania tego zamówienia. Uczestnik lub przynajmniej jedna osoba, z którą współpracuje przy opracowaniu koncepcji, musi posiadać uprawnienia budowlane bez ograniczeń do projektowania w branży architektonicznej lub konstrukcyjno-budowlanej. Każdy uczestnik może złożyć tylko jedną pracę konkursową.

Amfiteatr będzie miejscem organizacji wydarzeń kulturalnych, koncertów, przedstawień teatralnych oraz innych form aktywności turystycznej. Jego koncepcja powinna uwzględniać zagospodarowanie terenu wokół oraz być zbliżona stylem do nowo powstałego pawilonu wystawienniczego.

Wymagania funkcjonalne:

• Pojemność widowni na minimum 1200 miejsc;
• Pojemność sceny na minimum 50 osób (należy wziąć pod uwagę występy zespołów regionalnych);
• Zapewnienie odpowiedniego zaplecza technicznego i socjalnego tj. toalety, szatnie, garderoby, pomieszczenia socjalne, magazyny, itp.;
• Dostępność dla osób z niepełnosprawnościami;
• Całość widowni oraz sceny powinno obejmować stałe zadaszenie;
• Budynek i jego usytuowanie powinny być zgodne z MPZP.

The Municipality of Wozniki, in cooperation with SARP Katowice Branch, has announced a competition to develop an urban-architectural concept for the development of the area after the former State Agricultural Farm (PGR ) in Dworcowa Street in Wozniki, together with a proposal for a utility program for selected cubature objects located there.

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, one-stage.

The area covered by the competition, together with the existing buildings, is owned by the Municipality of Wozniki. Its intention is to stop the progressive degradation of the buildings and the surrounding area and spatial revitalization divided into stages:

• Stage I: designing the environment around the existing buildings, taking into account their future planned use,
• Stage II: technical protection of the existing buildings,
• Stage III and beyond: use of the awarded competition work as promotional material in order to attract partners for cooperation in revaluation and adaptation activities.

In the evaluation of the competition works, the following will be taken into account:

primary criteria:

• urban and architectural qualities, including in particular: the composition of the spatial premise, functional solutions on an urban scale, reference to the surrounding development (existing and planned - issued building permit),
• the qualities of the proposed spatial and material solutions, including biological,
• the possibility of phasing the investment and its compliance with the phasing assumed by the Employer,
• qualities of the proposed solutions in the field of blue-green infrastructure, management of naturalresources , from the point of view of sustainable development,
• qualities of the proposed solutions interms of accessibility of the site and the designed facilities for various groups of users, including people with limited mobility, visual, speech and hearing dysfunctions,
• the economic value of the project from the point of view of implementation and the cost of future operation of the facilities and
  construction and maintenance of land development elements,

• cost of implementation of the project and cost of the post-competition development.

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, one-stage.

The subject of the competition is to develop an urban-architectural concept for a complex of multi-family residential buildings with underground garages with a minimum number of 306 apartments, land development and external infrastructure, located on Św. Wojciecha and Myśliwska Streets in Gliwice.

A complex of repetitive (if possible) multi-family residential buildings should be designed. The competition task is to create a user-friendly residential development that fits into the cultural context of the city and the specifics of the area, preserving the existing tree stand to the maximum extent possible.

The buildings should be economical in construction, energy efficient (renewable energy sources - photovoltaic installation on the roof of each building), environmentally friendly, with relatively low operating costs. The value of the index of annual demand for non-renewable primary energy EP for each building must not exceed 52 kWh/(m2 x year). The share of energy from renewable sources in the total primary energy required for the operation of the building should be a minimum of 40%.

The subject of the Competition is the development of an urban and architectural concept for a complex of multi-family residential buildings with a minimum number of apartments of 470, along with underground garages, land development, services and external infrastructure, located at Pszczyńska andKujawska in Gliwice - the study area includes six registered plots intended for development with a total area of about 7.7 hectares and additionally two road plots intended for communication.

According to the competition's guidelines, a complex of repetitive (if possible) multi-family residential buildings with underground garages should be designed, divided into independent tasks and stages:

• Task No. 1: a minimum of 200 apartments,
• Task No. 2, stage 1: a minimum of 140 apartments,
• Task No. 2, stage 2: a minimum of 130 apartments.

BWA Wrocław Contemporary Art Galleries announces a competition to develop a comprehensive concept for the design of the interiors of the former Kraftpost repair and assembly hall and offices located in the administrative building and paint shop at 63 Kolejowa Street in Wrocław. The organizers encourage groups working in the field of interior architecture in consortium with artistic individuals to participate in the competition.

The competition is an unrestricted, two-stage competition .

In Stage I, design groups send in a portfolio, a submission card and a brief description of the concept. The jury will select up to six entries from this pool.

A requirement in developing the competition proposals will be to work with the Multisensory Key - a concept for the new BWA Wrocław headquarters in the former Kraftpost assembly hall, a set of design ideas and principles created in 2025.

The winning team will work for 22 months partly independently and partly together with the BWA Wroclaw team, as well as with the general architect of Chamielec Architects.

The design for the development of the area of the Central Campus of the University of Warsaw should include concepts and principles of shaping and functioning:

• visual identification system for the space of the UW Central Campus,
• communication system,
• plant cover with automatic irrigation system,
• rainwater management (including blue-green infrastructure),
• park pavilion,
• small architecture objects,
• water elements,
• lighting,
• back-of-house facilities,
• waste collection area (sheds/alters/dumpster facilities),
• renovation and modernization of fragments of fences.

The entire scope of the competition study is located in a conservation area. It is required that all adopted design solutions provide access with the possibility of use for people with special needs including people with disabilities as mobility and perception limitations on an equal footing with all other users, in accordance with the principles of universal design, inclusivedesign and architectural accessibility.

The competition design should take into account, among other things, the need to minimize the adverse phenomenon of overheating of the space of streets and squares during the summer months. Small architecture objects (including trash garbage cans and benches) should feature contemporary means of expression that fit into the historical context of the surroundings. The organizers also expect to present principles for creating a coherent system of spatial visual identification for the UW Central Campus area, as well as the development of greenery.

The State Archive in Lodz has announced an implementation architectural competition for the design of its new headquarters in the city's downtown area.

The building will be located in the downtown part of Lodz, at Plac generała Henryka Dąbrowskiego Street. The Archive building is planned as a six-story object, consisting of five above-ground floors and one underground floor, with a total usable area of not less than 9,200 m². It should consist of two parts: storage and administrative.

The designed building should reflect the mission, stature and function of the State Archives, while being a space that encourages visitors to visit and use the collected resources. The key features of the facility must be aesthetics, durability, modernity and simplicity, which harmonize with openness, friendliness and full accessibility to create an inclusive and representative space.

According to the ambition of the competition organizers, it is to be the best library in the world!

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, two-stage.

The competition concerns the largest investment dedicated to culture in the history of the city of Rzeszow and the Subcarpathian province. Its subject is the urban and architectural concept of the New Library complex together with the development of the space in its immediate vicinity. Those who take part in the competition are also expected to present conceptual solutions for land development in the study area delineated by Piłsudskiego, Cieplińskiego, Jałowy and Towarnickiego streets.

The New Library will consist of a Library Part (the Provincial and Municipal Public Library run jointly by the Subcarpathian Regional Government and the Municipality of the City of Rzeszow), an Event Part (run by the Municipality of the City of Rzeszow) and a Common Part connecting them.

The two institutions will be separately managed and separately financed. For these reasons and due to their different ways of functioning, as well as the possible phasing of the investment, their spatial and functional separateness is assumed. At the same time, a partial merger of the two institutions is assumed, aimed at optimizing costs and enabling cooperation by complementing each other's programmatic and spatial offer.

Study studies and competition works will be evaluated according to the relevance and attractiveness of design solutions, functionality of the proposed solutions, as well as operational advantages, economy of solutions and pro-environmental solutions.

When shaping the body of the Archive, the aim should be to achieve a simple structural layout . The Archive should be designed as a highly energy-efficient and zero-emission building, environmentally friendly, provide high user comfort, and reasonably minimize the built-in and operational carbon footprint. The Archives building is to have low maintenance costs and minimized energy consumption, using technology, energy-efficient materials and equipment, and renewable energy sources. Pułtuska in Serock - a full-size sports hall with stands with access from the school building, social, service, sanitary, technical and storage facilities, an auditorium with workshops andrecreational facilities, administrative spaces, catering space, underground parking, a sports shooting range and an emergency shelter area, as well as the necessary landscaping (communications, parking lots, landscaping).

The construction of a sports hall and auditorium with accompanying infrastructure and landscaping as part of the project for the Center for Education, Culture and Sports in Serock is an initiative that aims to create a place that combines various aspects of social, cultural and sports life of local residents.

During school hours, the premise is guaranteed to secure the educational needs of sports and physical activities (PE classes) and cultural activities (e.g., school ceremonies) while being open to the needs of users wishing to take advantage of the sports and cultural offer in the morning and early afternoon (e.g., classes for seniors). During afternoon hours, the facility must allow full use of sports and cultural activities (including sports sections, individual and group activities, sports and cultural events, commercial activities) without the risk of unwanted entry of outsiders into school and administrative spaces.

Competition entries will be judged on the basis of:

• attractiveness of the proposed architectural and development solutions,
• functional and utility efficiency of the newly designed building and land development,
• the feasibility and economy of the adopted solutions,
• application of environmentally friendly and energy-saving solutions,
• consideration of all requirements specified in the functional-utility program.

The City of Warsaw's Wilanów District and the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects have announced a competition for an architectural concept for an elementary school with sports facilities and the necessary infrastructure at Łokciowa Street in Warsaw's Wilanów district.

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, two-stage.

The designed object is to be an educational complex, the main function of which will be an elementary school with a sports complex (hall, outdoor fields) and recreation areas. Additional functions - Youth Cultural Center and psychological-pedagogical counseling center - are to be functionally linked to the educational complex, but also allow independent functioning.

The complex should be inviting, designed to stimulate children's imagination and respond to progress, as well as incorporate environmentally friendly solutions. The solutions adopted should remain in accordance with the Architectural and Functional Standards for Elementary Schools and School-Preschool Complexes of the City of Warsaw.
