José Luis Ramón, CEO of Neolith Group, pointed out that:

"The book is a reaffirmation of the brand's commitment to society, its needs and demands, while at the same time emphasizing - in line with the brand's DNA - the invariably avant-garde nature of its business. The book identifies the most important trends shaping the new lifestyle, which prioritizes well-being, respect for the environment and sustainability as criteria applicable to fields such as architecture, interior design, fashion or industry in general. It is in these areas that Neolith surfaces can be key elements.

The book presents many examples of the changes taking place in architecture, interior design, fashion or industry to create more liveable environments that are more impactful on the senses and closer to our roots. These are transformations that presuppose the connectivity of all elements of the environment, making the human bond with the surrounding world change, allowing individual interpretation of the trends discussed in the book.

The report also identifies and analyzes new international trends observed in all creative areas, such as interior design, design, architecture, art, lifestyle, etc., with a particular focus on sustainability and new ways of creating and inhabiting spaces, highlighting the values currently valued by professionals and consumers and the ways in which they are expressed in practice. The study presents current phenomena and changes expected in the coming months in the form of messages, reflected values and design styles taking into account color, shape and materials.

According to Oliver de la Rica, CMO of the Neolith Group:

The study illustrates the importance for Neolith to create a unique emotional connection with the end user and any professional who trusts our products, providing guidance for all sectors participating in and driving these social changes, as well as a holistic vision bringing together design, trends, fashion, beauty and creativity.

Three key trends

The first is marked by urban space planning in the Spirit of Independence, which facilitates a more streamlined, independent and eco-friendly lifestyle, in which spaces are no longer static, rather enabling a variety of uses, whether in the home, office, commercial space or public place.

Larger cities are also changing, with space becoming increasingly important. In response to these developments, concepts of microliving, modularity, and multifunctionality have emerged, which, like a board game, allow users to experiment and adapt spaces to their own needs. These concepts are complemented by a "green" and sustainable approach to urban planning and a particular type of architecture - so-called Greentecture, which is based on bioclimatic criteria and the idea of self-sufficiency. In turn, the interior design features elements of flexibility, juxtaposition and green perspective, as reflected in vibrant, cheerful colors: yellow referring to Bach's flower therapy, burnt red and amaranth, eucalyptus green, cobalt, complemented by pink azalea and purple.

Well-being and self-care are crucial when designing spaces, combining their physical, psychological, emotional, social, professional, environmental, spiritual and financial uses. When designing airports, banks, hospitals and other public spaces, brands, companies and institutions should keep concepts such as nurturing the self, relaxation or contemplation in mind. The goal of the space being developed today is to promote well-being. Now users' decisions are based more on emotions, their well-being and balance, which is a great opportunity to provide real value to them. Concepts such as recovery-oriented design, a holistic approach or pursuing a recovery-oriented mission are starting to be taken into account when designing health care facilities such as clinics and hospitals, and even pharmacies. They are also beginning to be taken into account when designing residential facilities. Remote work, on the other hand, has opened up our homes, so designers and interior decorators will strive to transform the home space into a safe place that promotes well-being by affecting the various senses.

The third major trend is to protect nature and maintain a natural balance. Every day, conscious choices that ensure respect for the world around us are becoming more and more important. We live in an era of research conducted in materials, an era of innovation and the transformation of its effects into commercial applications, enabling all users to contribute to and benefit from environmentally friendly changes.

With a third of consumers willing to spend more and more to buy green products, manufacturers should be prepared for a future in which sustainability will be a customer expectation rather than an exception to the norm. Brands are beginning to favor more responsible consumption. The shift to valuing possessions instead of replacing them frequently will mark a kind of cultural shift. The year 2024 will be the era of respectability, the "zero waste" generation and upcycling.

The book, entitled "Inspiring Living For Tomorrow. Lifestyle Trends 2024 by Neolith" is an easily accessible working tool presenting a months-long study of trends in the housing sector, based on experiences from the COVID-19 pandemic, remote work and the quest for well-being, which entail changes reflected in the design of residential or commercial spaces. It is an inspiring read supplemented with illustrations, addressed to both professionals and interior design enthusiasts, aiming to support the creation of new projects.
