POL_SZTYMA_WOLNA

POL_SZTYMA_WOLNA is the name of an informal art group formed by Anna Pol, Marianna Sztyma and Magda Wolna. The artists are friends. They graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. In 2017, they made together for the first time a series of a dozen black and white plates with original graphics. Since then, they have created more than a dozen such collections. Together they choose colors or motifs, but they work separately on the plates. Most often they use old ceramics found at flea markets, giving plates and tins a second life. From utilitarian objects, they become small works of art.

Their largest installation TRZEPOT is more than 200 plates. It was shown at the Biała Gallery in Lublin (2022) and Poznań's VZORY gallery (2023). They also collaborate with Manufaktura in Boleslawiec. They have created several thematic series of plates and vases. One of them, KOBALTOWA 2, was awarded in 2022 in the MUST HAVE competition during the 16th edition of Łódź Design Festival. With Magda Kucharska's ceramics studio in Poznań, HADAKI created a collection of POWIDOKI vases.
