PHN SPV 16 PHN K, in cooperation with the General Board of the Association of Polish Architects and SARP Wybrzeże Branch, has announced an urban-architectural competition for the development of a study concept for a complex of residential and commercial buildings in the area of the Fishing Pier in Gdynia.

purpose

The purpose of the competition, as we read in the regulations, is to obtain the best, in terms of urban, spatial, functional and architectural aspects, study concept of a complex of residential and service facilities on the grounds of the pier in Gdynia, as a basis for the implementation of the Integrated Investment Plan project, which will indicate the most beneficial and interesting solutions of the functional and utility program for the area of the Fishing Pier in Gdynia.

terms and conditions

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, two-stage.

The basic expectation of the ordering party is to obtain a study of the optimal use of the investment potential of the area, which will take into account: the quality of development, relations with the environment, historical, landscape and functional values, as well as the possibility of staging the investment. The concept should form the basis for the formulation of spatial and functional arrangements necessary for the preparation of the ZPI, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Spatial Planning and Development.

The competition concept should combine contemporary, original and innovative urban planning, architectural and technological solutions, taking into account the provisions of the Rules and Regulations and the guidelines of the ordering party, the City of Gdynia and the relevant monument protection authorities. The competition concept should clearly and synthetically present a coherent concept for the transformation of the Fishing Pier and the remaining area within the boundaries of the competition elaboration, together with the justification of the urbanistic, functional, architectural, technical, utilitarian and economic solutions adopted.

In particular, the concept should specify: the main principles of spatial composition, the proposal and distribution of functions for objects and the area, the formation of buildings and public spaces, communication services, relations with the environment, the phasing of the investment, taking into account the nature of the location, historical and landscape values, formal and legal requirements, as well as the rationality of implementation and operation of the proposed solutions.

prizes

  • First Prize - PLN 150,000 gross and an invitation to negotiate a contract for the execution of the subject of the service
  • II Prize - 100 000 PLN gross
  • III Prize - 80 000 PLN gross

The organizer has also stipulated the reimbursement of the costs of preparation of the competition works (in the amount of PLN 50,000 net) for all five participants of the competition who were invited to submit competition works in the second stage, and who successfully submitted the competition works to be evaluated.
