Tadeusz Kosciuszko Krakow University of Technology and SARP Krakow Branch have announced a competition for the design of the new headquarters of the PK Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications - a teaching and laboratory building to be built on the university's campus at 37 Jana Pawła II Avenue in Krakow's Czyżyny district.

purpose

The purpose of the competition, as we read in the regulations, is to obtain the best architectural concept in terms of architecture, space and functional-utility of the new seat of the Faculty of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the Tadeusz Kosciuszko Cracow University of Technology.

terms and conditions

The competition is a two-stage, implementation competition, conducted in a limited procedure.

The building is to be constructed on the existing campus of the Cracow University of Technology. The investment is planned to be carried out in stages - in the first stage, the didactic part, administrative part, chamber work rooms and social rooms are to be created. In the second stage, the part containing specialized scientific and research laboratories is to be implemented.

In the immediate vicinity of the building, an attractively designed public space with elements of small architecture and recreational infrastructure should be located, serving at the same time as a representative entrance area to the building, photovoltaic-covered parking spaces for 30 cars and places for bicycles/scooters, as well as a charging station for electric cars.

The building should be economically and ecologically optimal, in line with contemporary principles of sustainable development.
