On April 3, 2024, the results of a competition organized by the Ostrów Wielkopolski District Office were announced. The competition is named after Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

The prize in the competition is a statue made by local artist Piotr Lopatka. The award is given in two categories:

  • Prize and special award of the Ostrów Starosty
  • Award and special prize of the "Ambassador of Ostrów Architecture".

Seventeen projects were submitted to the competition in both categories, and five were awarded.
