Results of the kindergarten design competition of the 32nd International Lighting Equipment Fair

descriptionOn March 12-13, 2025, the 32nd International Trade Fair for Lighting Equipment LIGHT was held. One of the accompanying events was the announcement of the results of a nationwide competition for the design of a kindergarten, aimed at male and female students of architecture.
The competition was organized by the Polish Lighting Industry Association in cooperation with the organizers of the ŚWIATŁO trade fair and the community of architects from Silesia. The sponsor was KANLUX SA, and industry patronage was provided by the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Association of Industrial Forms Designers and the European Lighting Cluster Alliance (ELCA), among others.
The task of the Competition was to design a concept, the best, in terms of architectural, spatial and functional-utility aspects, of a kindergarten building.
The Competition received 64 projects.
By decision of the Competition Committee, 1 honorable mention, 2 equal Third Prizes and one First Prize were awarded.
The 1st Prize went to the design team consisting of: Grzegorz Pronobis, Justyna Stachowicz, Sylwia Widzisz-Pronobis, Natalia Wzientek.
Third Prize went to Alisa Chuikina and the design team: Mariusz Czechowicz, Agata Rayska, Aleksnadra Knop, Gabriel Wysoczynski, Katarzyna Hogendorf, Magdalena Pieklik, Zbigniew Piotrowicz, Katarzyna Jonczyk-Staszewska.
An honorable mention was awarded to Alicja Drozd.
The media patron of the competition was the A&B portal.
