justification of the jury

"The "multiworld" of the metropolitan tenement, drawing from the industrial past of Lodz, its architectural and construction space, social, aesthetic, multicultural and multi-religious, materializing in the urban-architectural form of the city.

The proposed large-scale form of the townhouse is an interesting attempt to answer the question of the role and function of the modern townhouse in the antagonized downtown environment, often far from expectations in the way "city" and "nature" coexist.

The authors succeeded in combining the expressiveness of the building's structure and form, so associated with the industrial image of Lodz's past, with the needs and expectations of its users, associated in the past with providing the city with greenery in the form of forests, parks, greens and factory gardens. The proposed post-industrial form of the building, strongly exposing the steel structure, creates a unique element of the future frontage of Zachodnia and S. Więckowskiego, constituting its unique element.
