Jury opinion
The work was awarded for the concept of creating a space of a strongly centralizing
and multifunctional, integrating the commercial, service, catering, market and residential parts
around the main square - a meeting place for residents. The spatial composition of the entire layout was
inspired by the symbol of the mill wheel, still found in the Czerwonak municipality's coat of arms.
The development along Gdyńska Street cuts off the intimate space of the square from the busy provincial road,
and at the same time, with the help of openings and grand entrances, it invites the public inside the establishment. The proposed
buildings are characterized by an original architecture with the use of wood and steel elements.
