Ceglana Fantazja - Architektura & Biznes

Ceglana Fantazja

Ceglana Fantazja was founded on a simple premise - old brick should not go to the landfill. In Poland, buildings from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are still being dismantled: old farms, mills, tenement houses or industrial buildings. Before they disappear, we try to recover bricks fired in old brickyards, often hand-formed, with a completely different structure than modern materials.

Each brick passes through our hands several times. First selection - because not every one is suitable for further work. Then cleaning, cutting, washing and preparing tiles that can be safely used in interiors and facades. In this way, material that has been part of old masonry for decades can be reused.

That's why our tiles are never identical. They differ in shade, texture and traces of time. One has a darker burnish, another a small pitting, another a fragment of old mortar. In interiors, this gives an effect that is difficult to achieve with mass-produced materials - the wall looks natural, as if it had always been there.

Our tiles are used by both private investors and architects designing restaurants, hotels or commercial spaces. Old brick finds itself well in a variety of styles - from loft interiors to quieter, more classic arrangements.

In cooperation with designers, the most important thing is to choose the right material. Sometimes the best effect is given by a very raw brick, with a clear structure. Other times a calmer, more even surface works better. Each batch of material is a little different, so we often start by talking and choosing the brick that best suits a particular project.

Brick Fantasy is the place where old brick makes its way into new spaces. The material that built solid house walls for decades can now become part of an apartment, restaurant or office. It's a real brick with a history written in texture and color.
