Maksymilian Sawicki

Architect, visual artist: a graduate of the University of Arts in Poznań where he defended his master's degree in architecture with honors. The diploma was nominated for the Maria Dokowicz Prize and the international competition Archiprix Chile 2019 for the best diploma in the world. He has presented his works, among others: during a solo exhibition at the Gallery Opposite in Poznan, at the Polish Sculpture Center in Oronsko as well as at Shanghai Normal University and Estación Mapocho in Santiago, Chile.

For him, architectural issues are a starting point for broader considerations of inhabited space and the relationship between spatial form and user. His considerations oscillate around the phenomenon of the contemporary urban environment and issues of self-organization. His work focuses on the search for a definition of the new nature of the contemporary city.
