In this hospice they will be soothed by the sea waves

Milena Pięta

I am a first degree graduate from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. During my education, I did a semester-long study at Politecnico di Milano in Milan and completed a professional internship at hori-zonte design office in Porto. At the Faculty of Architecture, I served as president of the ECOpower research club. I graduated with honors for the design of a social housing development in Porto. I am currently working in a design office in Portugal.
In design, I pay particular attention to attention to detail, concern for the environment and a sustainable approach to architecture. At the same time, the well-being of the users and improving the quality of their daily life are crucial to me.
In my free time, I carry out architectural projects in collaboration with a design group. Our works have been recognized in international architectural competitions:
● Honorable mention in the Buildner competition - Hospice: Home for the Terminally Ill, 2024
● Finalists in the TerraViva Competitions - La Juanita, 2025.

Lighting That Adapts to the Space – Lighting Trends for 2026

Just a few years ago, lighting was often one of the last elements to be incorporated into a design. Today, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to separate it from the interior architecture itself. Light affects proportions, highlights materials, [...]
