Our acoustic ceilings can also be equipped with additional features such as cooling, heating and ventilation or lighting, sprinklers, speakers and other built-in elements. Product features can also be extended in the direction of fire protection, hygiene (hospitals and laboratories) or ball impact resistance (kindergartens, schools and sports halls). Metal ceilings are delivered to the construction site in a finished state with a finished surface, which ensures simple and quick installation and short construction processes. Our products are sustainable because they are made of easily recyclable materials that can be reused or easily recycled.

Acoustic comfort

People spend a significant amount of time in enclosed spaces, so user comfort is important, which is influenced by, among other things, appropriate acoustic properties. Sound triggers physiological and psychological reactions: some sounds are perceived as pleasant, others cause tension or feelings of irritation. Acoustic disturbances that have a negative impact are: noises coming from outside and generated by work equipment, personal or telephone conversations, noise coming from the corridor and all kinds of noises, background noise, which is generated mainly by IT equipment or air conditioning.

From ceiling to walls

Fural acoustic ceilings and walls not only control the acoustics of a room, but also optimize the appearance of the entire interior. Metal ceilings are hard, but because of the materials used and the processing steps, they act perfectly as surface absorbers. The starting material is steel or aluminum sheet with a small thickness (0.5- 1.0 mm). The combination of various perforations and acoustic fleece with the ceiling cavity above makes it possible to achieve very good sound absorption values. Acoustic comfort in the room can be achieved with a metal ceiling alone. In the subsequent processing steps, stable but lightweight structures are created. Due to their specific structure, wall elements act as broadband absorbers and are therefore ideal for regulating reverberation time and speech intelligibility. The wall panels are suitable for both targeted and subsequent optimization of room acoustics. The individual parts of the system are delivered to the installation site with a finished surface, in modular form. In this way, rooms become available after a short installation time. The acoustic and structural design possibilities are confirmed by numerous tests.

Why metal baffles?

Metal ceiling baffles are ideal for cooling and heating rooms. Temperature control is based largely on the principle of radiation. Suspended metal baffles are an optimal medium because of their good thermal conductivity. The temperature is quickly transferred or absorbed by the room below, and the acoustic properties of perforated baffles are preserved. Another major advantage is that they can be quickly and safely revised, which brings significant benefits both during the construction phase and during ongoing operation.

Why baffles instead of a full-surface ceiling?

Ceiling baffles consist of lamellas suspended vertically from the ceiling and are installed at a certain distance from each other. The resulting gaps can be used in many practical ways:

  • Ceiling baffles are often used as acoustic ceilings.

  • Depending on the height of the baffles and the distance between them, the ceiling can have a much larger surface area than a smooth ceiling, so the acoustic effect is higher.

  • Heating and cooling systems can be integrated into ceiling baffles. The larger surface area also benefits their performance.

  • When installing sprinklers, there is no need to make separate penetrations in the ceiling. The sprinkler system is attached to the raw ceiling, and the sprinkler outlets can be set back invisibly between the baffles.

  • Similarly, light fixtures can be installed slightly recessed between the baffles. The baffles provide additional reflection control at flat viewing angles.

  • With baffles suspended on sliding rails, technical components in the inter-ceiling recess are accessible and easy to revise.

  • Baffles make it possible to combine natural and artificial light in rooms. Depending on the reflectivity of the surface, light can be gently introduced into the room.
