Mailitis Architects

MAILĪTIS ARCHITECTS is a multidisciplinary architectural studio that combines architecture and art. Its work is based on simple but meaningful design solutions and unconventional ideas, inspired by careful observation of contemporary culture and nature. The studio is based in Riga, Latvia, and its projects can be found in various corners of Europe, Asia and North America.

The studio specializes in designing buildings, scenography, exhibition spaces and environmental installations. Its multidisciplinary approach allows it to experiment with modern functions, global and local contexts and innovative construction methods. Projects are developed from concept to final realization, often with direct team participation in the prototyping and construction process.

MAILĪTIS ARCHITECTS also engages in educational activities. One of the studio's key projects is a new architecture school in the Baltics, which aims to introduce an experimental approach to architectural education in the region. The studio aims to create an international educational platform that responds to contemporary humanistic and ecological challenges through architectural tools. A master's program is planned to be launched in Riga, at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
