Małgorzata Tuszyńska

I am originally from Toruń. I defended my diploma thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (majoring in Interior Design). Before that I still did a bachelor's degree in sociology and attended a private theater school in Poznan. I also tried my hand at cognitive science, which I left in favor of architecture. The years of study taught me a lesson that is not easy in my opinion and is still difficult to keep in check patience and the constant search for answers to endless questions. I think sociology, theater and interior design have a lot in common; they create for people. Delving into interior design has stimulated in me an even greater sensitivity to beauty, taught me new means of expression, a love of conceptual art and trusting my intuition, because you design with your heart. The Helios furniture model is a beautiful culmination of nine years of a bumpy, but intriguingly creative path at the University of York. When designing interiors, I use natural materials (good quality wood combined with stone and glass), plenty of light and lots of greenery, because there is no greater joy for body and spirit in life than closeness to nature.
