Atelier Aconcept

Aconcept is a French architectural studio founded by Frédéric Quevillon in Évry-Courcouronnes, south of Paris. For the past fifteen years, the office has been successfully working on public and private projects, growing from an intimate team into a full-scale studio of 25 people today.

Aconcept's work is based on a strong social and civic commitment - the office focuses on the areas of the so-called "great banlieue," striving to bring architectural quality and a new sensitivity to the everyday environment to these often overlooked spaces. The studio does not favor any type of commission - it designs schools, sports arenas, cultural buildings, as well as residential areas, approaching each subject with the same attentiveness and openness.

Aconcept's philosophy is based on dialogue, responsibility, and going beyond the blueprint. Architecture here is understood as a form of social service - a response to the real needs of users, rather than an expression of formal ambition. The office believes that creativity is born out of constraints, and that good design is all about listening, empathy and flexibility.
