Snow King Observatory in Jackson. GALCZYNSKI and Farmer Payne Architects draw the eye toward the sky

Farmer Payne Architects

Farmer Payne Architects is an American architectural firm that designs residential, commercial, and public projects, as well as interiors. The firm works on projects of various scales, combining a contemporary architectural language with the context of the site, the needs of the users, and the nature of the project. Functionality, quality of detail, and the building’s relationship with its surroundings—both in the urban and natural landscapes—are key to the firm’s projects.

For the Snow King Observatory, the firm was responsible for the architectural design in collaboration with Jakub Galczynski. The facility in Jackson demonstrates how architecture can support education, tourism, and environmental protection while remaining a discreet backdrop for the most important experience—encountering the night sky.
