On April 23 this year, the results of the 10th Architectural Award of the President of the City of Warsaw were announced at a gala ceremony at the distinguished Grand Prix for 2022 at the National Library in Warsaw.

The organizer of the competition and founder of the award is the President of the City of Warsaw. The prize is awarded in cooperation with the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects, the Mazovian Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland and the Warsaw Branch of the Society of Polish Town Planners.

The award is given to the authors of completed projects and completed architectural events in Warsaw, which are distinguished by the highest level of functional and spatial solutions, as well as exceptional social and environmental significance, and which took place or were completed in the year preceding the award.

Fifteen buildings and events were nominated for the anniversary award. The jury, chaired by Maria Wasiak and composed of: Marlena Happach, Donata Kończyk, Ewa Janczar, Tomasz Majda, Łukasz Górzyński, Piotr Bujnowski, Krystyna Solarek, Kinga Zinowiec-Cieplik, Ewa P. Porębska, Grzegorz Piątek and Marcin Szczelina awarded the Grand Prix, six prizes and two special prizes.

TheGrand Prix, an award in the public space design category and a special award for pro-environmental solutions went to the "Storm" Action Park, designed by topoScape and Archigrest. The award in the category of public architecture was won ex aequo by the Library in Choszczówka designed by the Ambient studio (also awarded a special prize for accessibility solutions) and the Museum of the Polish Army designed by WXCA. The award in the architectural event category went to the exhibition and book "Zgruzowstanie Warszawy 1945-1949" presented at the Museum of Warsaw, in the new life of buildings category the award went to Zofia Jaworowska and Petro Vladimirov creating the BRDA Foundation, and in the residential architecture category the project of the House of Our Lady of Heart by XYstudio was appreciated. In an online vote, residents indicated their favorite - the award went to the Emilia Plater 29-31 Socio-Cultural Quarter created on the initiative of the Komuna Warszawa Theater.
