The Krakow branch of the Society of Polish Town Planners has announced a competition for an award for the best thesis in urban planning, spatial planning or landscape architecture defended in 2023 at a university in the Małopolska region. The prize has been awarded since 2005.

purpose

The purpose of the competition, as we read in the regulations, is to identify the best diploma thesis in urban planning, spatial planning and landscape architecture, and to promote them.

terms and conditions

Diploma theses (master's, engineering, bachelor's) of graduates of architecture, landscape architecture and spatial management faculties of universities from the Małopolska province, defended in 2023, may be submitted to the competition.

The thesis for participation in the competition is submitted by the promoter in consultation with the author of the thesis. Each promoter may submit only one engineering and master's thesis from a given year.

The condition for entering the competition is to submit a signed (handwritten or electronic) application form with a statement: promoter and author (attached to the regulations) via email to: konkurs.tup.krakow@gmail.com. Works should be prepared according to the instructions on the entry form.

Deadline for submissions: until April 19, 2024 at 23:59.

prizes

The jury has the right to determine the number and type of prizes and awards resulting from the competition.

Cash prizes (from a pool of 6000 PLN) funded by sponsors are distributed among the winners as determined by the jury. The distinctions are honorary.

competition jury

The composition of the competition jury (a minimum of 5 persons) is appointed by the Board of Directors of the TUP Branch from among the members of the Society, excluding the promoters of the submitted works. The jury may additionally include one judge proposed by the sponsors.
