Results of the Brick Architecture Competition.

descriptionOn June 6 this year we learned the results of the 8th edition of the Brick Architecture Competition for students of architectural faculties at universities. The competition was organized by the Association of Employers of Building Ceramics in cooperation with the Association of Polish Architects.
The purpose of the competition was to demonstrate students' workshop skills in architectural design using clinker products on building facades. Works could be submitted in two categories: Single-Family House, which sought optimal solutions for a single-family house with a clinker façade, and Construction of the Future, which sought creative and innovative proposals using a clinker façade.
The competition received 124 entries: 65 in the single-family house category and 59 in the Building of the Future category. The projects were evaluated by a jury consisting of:
- Marek Chrobak - architect, president of ZG SARP
- Daria Kieżun - architect, member of ZG SARP for financial strategy, SARP Branch Wrocław
- Tomasz Konior - architect, Konior Studio, SARP Oddział Kraków
- Grzegorz Stiasny - architect, ARE Stiasny/Wacławek, SARP Warsaw Branch
- Marek Furmańczyk - representative of the Association of Employers of Building Ceramics.
In the Single-Family House category, 1st place went to Szymon Bernacki, 2nd to Wiktoria Slowinska and Wiktoria Musiolik, and 3rd to Cezary Kostecki and Jan Kusznieruk. Honorable mentions went to Natalia Zięta and Natalia Dzioby, and to Szymon Maćkowiak.
In the Future Construction category, 1st place went to Arkadiusz Kucinski, 2nd to Paulina Nierzwicka, and 3rd to Jakub Miśniakiewicz. Honorable mentions went to Daria Bukowska and Julia Komorowska, and Ignacy Szeflinski.
