description

On November 24, the results of the nationwide competition for the best master's thesis completed in the field of Architecture (Architecture and Urban Planning) and defended in 2022-2023—"Wood in Architecture"—were announced at a gala ceremony at the Faculty of Architecture of the Bialystok University of Technology.

The ceremony was accompanied by the opening of the post-competition exhibition, which can be seen in the hall of the PB Department of Architecture until the end of November.

The idea of the "Wood in Architecture" competition is to spread knowledge about the value and uniqueness of wooden architecture. The jury's evaluation criteria include both the value of architectural solutions, in which the versatile qualities of wood are shown, and the quality of the relationship between the material and the shaped form.

The competition rewards both the authors of the thesis and their supervisors.

The competition is the result of cooperation between the Faculty of Architecture at the Bialystok University of Technology and Unihouse SA and Danwood SA.
