The results of a nationwide competition for young male and female creators for the design of a light fixture for busbar were announced at the International Light Fair.

The purpose of the competition was to promote light as a design material and encourage young designers to cooperate with Polish lighting manufacturers.

The competition task was to design a lighting fixture for a 230V three-circuit busbar. Busbars are the supply elements of a lighting installation that allow dynamic changes: the position of the luminaire and give the possibility to add or subtract light sources depending on the needs and situation.

The event was organized by the Polish Lighting Industry Association in cooperation with the organizers of the fair and the Silesian architectural community. The sponsor of the competition was KANLUX SA, and industry patronage was provided by the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Association of Industrial Forms Designers and the European Lighting Cluster Alliance (ELCA).

Nine projects were submitted for the competition.

By decision of the Competition Committee, 2 honorable mentions and one First Prize were awarded.

First Prize was won by Kacper Klaus for his work "HALO lighting system".

Honorable mentions went to Amelia Domisch (work: "RADIANT BLOOM") and the duo: Wiktoria Kulgawczuk and Paulina Borkowska (work: " RIZUMU luminaire set ").

The media patron of the competition was the A&B portal.
