Agnieszka Nyka

She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Gdansk University of Technology, where she graduated with honors. She was also educated while studying at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK, and participating in numerous international workshops, such as the BISS summer school at HafenCity Universität in Hamburg. She created projects in cooperation with TU Delft and Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. She gained her professional experience working in architectural offices in London and the Tri-city.
As part of developing her interest in architecture and art, she has participated several times in the organization of events such as Gdynia Design Days and the Tricity editions of the Open House Worldwide festival. She is currently part of a team involved in organizing exhibitions and art events at the Tubaza art and design center in Gdynia.
His thesis entitled. "Adaptation of historical objects in the era of climate change. Torpedo Factory in Babi Doły" developed under the guidance of Professor Jakub Szczepanski and Dr. Anna Orchowska-Smolinska was defended in December 2020. Her project addresses the issue of going beyond the anthropocentric perspective in architectural design. The project has been published in several architectural journals.
