Aleksandra Kotyla

Master's student of Interior Design at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She perceives design as a way of creating spaces that not only serve a utilitarian function, but most importantly build bonds and evoke emotional experiences. The topic of her bachelor's thesis was to design a space for intergenerational exchange - a place open to all social groups, fostering development through the sharing of experiences.

In her design activities, she focuses on making interiors move - through meaning, presence and the opportunity to build relationships.

She participated in the New Space interdisciplinary workshops (2021, 2022), which enabled her to develop an approach based on empathy, dialogue and responsible design.
