Maks Hołubowicz

A graduate of the architecture program at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Environmental Engineering at the Bydgoszcz University of Technology. He is fascinated by history and archaeology, which form the foundation of his design thinking. In his work, he often draws on classical architectural ideals. He also operates at the intersection of experimental and vernacular architecture, constantly seeking modern solutions to issues related to the past. In his work, he strives to bring out the voice of a place—he is convinced that every location holds a different story that an architect is obligated to hear and reinterpret. He draws inspiration from local identity and cultural heritage, combining traditional elements with modern approaches. He is particularly drawn to architecture rooted in the richness of the landscape, responsive to the needs of the community, and engaged in an organic dialogue with its surroundings. In this way, he creates structures that reveal subtle traces of the past and, by building bridges to the future, honor the spirit of the place—the genius loci.
