Sunlit Days - launch of Silestone's first Carbon Neutral certified collection

30 of May '21

Silestone by Cosentino presents Sunlit Days, the world's first carbon-neutral collection in the quartz conglomerates and stone industry segment. Made with innovative HybriQ+ technology, it demonstrates the brand's commitment to sustainability and underscores the exceptional care for the environment that Cosentino has been known for over the years. The five new shades have the potential to add a unique touch to any interior.

first - the environment

Conscious changes in production technology, the use of renewable electricity, a completely closed water cycle, and the use of recycled materials are just a few reasons why the Silestone Sunlit Days collection is unique. What's more, for the first time ever, Cosentino is presenting Silestone's hybrid mineral surface that is completely carbon neutral. What does this mean? To achieve this extremely important title, Cosentino has committed to offset the carbon emissions generated throughout the life cycle of the Silestone Sunlit Days collection. The company can only achieve this through sustainable production, combined with a commitment to a number of voluntary UN-accredited projects that offset carbon emissions into the atmosphere. These include land reforestation programs, as well as a partnership program to protect the seabed.

Sunlit Days is a collection of five shades inspired by the Mediterranean Sea. A sort of journey through the fresh style and Mediterranean colors characteristic of this part of Europe, it was inspired by real stories of people, their values and way of life. Faro White, Cincel Grey, Arcilla Red, Cala Blue and Posidonia Green are more than just the names of five conglomerate colors. On the manufacturer's website, you'll find that they carry stories, experiences and a unique vibe, associated with vacations, that we can keep in our own homes all year round.

Silestone Sunlit Days and HybriQ+

Sunlit Days is a collection of five shades of large-format tiles, created using Silestone's pioneering HybriQ® technology. The new production process is the result of the company's commitment to the environment, to the development of a closed-loop economy and sustainable management. Silestone®'s manufacturing process with HybriQ+ uses 99% reused water from production processes, 100% renewable energy and at least 20% recycled raw materials.

In addition, HybriQ+ technology is distinguished by a new formulation that significantly reduces the amount of crystalline silica. Instead, a hybrid formula is used here, consisting of mineral raw materials and recycled materials. With this new, improved and more environmentally sustainable technology, the durability and timeless beauty for which the Silestone brand is known remains unchanged.

Faro White

FaroWhite represents the whiteness of the Mediterranean and sun-drenched building walls, symbolizing purity, simplicity and tranquility. The shade was inspired by the lighthouses that show the way for ships. It features a silky, smooth texture and evokes calmness and neutrality.

Cincel Grey

Cincel Grey is a fine-grained, silky gray shade that works best when used in spaces bathed in light. It is neutral and versatile, perfectly balanced between cool and warm tones. Delicate and subtle, it will be a beautiful backdrop for further design treatments in the kitchen, bathroom and living room.

Arcilla Red

Arcilla Rad resembles the color of sun-scorched earth, whose numerous shades oscillate between orange, brick red and brown. This color allows you to create a very pleasant, relaxing atmosphere in the interior. The shade can be used as an accent on the countertop or wall cladding for a quick metamorphosis, as it will find itself well in the company of any other color. Interior architects are now very eager to use this color in their projects.

Cala Blue

The Mediterranean is water, wind and an endless horizon. The shade Cala Blue is a subtle and sophisticated blue color, associated with a carefree vacation. In a space it will vibrate with the rest of the elements that surround it, serving as a background or the most important color accent in the interior.

Posidonia Green

Posidonia Green alludes to the nature and vegetation that can be seen while swimming in the sea. Interiors featuring it - thanks to the use of a color inspired by nature - will be a peaceful haven, allowing you to calm down, be yourself, catch your balance and contemplate the future.
