Single-Family Houses
The single-family house remains one of the most challenging architectural projects. It is here that architectural ideas come face-to-face with everyday realities, and every decision quickly finds its practical implications. Perhaps this is why houses so accurately reveal the way we think about living nowadays.
In this issue, we present both the architects’ own homes and projects created for clients. We talk with the architects about the design process, their relationship with the client, and the limits of architectural experiments. We ask, whether a house should be a manifesto, or rather a precise answer to the needs of the place and its people.
The answers are not clear-cut. And that is precisely why they are worth discovering.
We invite you to read the summer issue of A&B!
