BEAR Architects

BeAr is a Bilbao-based architecture office that explores the potential of architecture as a discursive practice. The studio relaunched in 2021, after previously operating under the name AZAB since 2018. Led by Ane Arce and Iñigo Berasategui, their projects have won numerous awards and have been published in renowned specialized media, both nationally and internationally. Among the accolades are the 2019 Peña Ganchegui Award for Baskonia's Best Young Architects, the 2020 Egurtek Award, and numerous awards at Arquia Próxima and BEAU.

These architects have been speakers at numerous universities, institutions and congresses. Their work has been exhibited at the San Sebastián Architecture Biennale, the Institute of Architecture of the Basque Country and the Villa Noailles in Hyères.
