Competition for the development of a concept for the building of a branch of the Kobierzyce Cultural Center in Wysoka

The Kobierzyce Commune , in cooperation with the Wroclaw Branch of SARP , is seeking, through a competition, a building that will complement the cultural offer of the town of Wysoka - a branch of the Kobierzyce Cultural Center, which will be built on a plot of land on the corner of Four Podkowa and Bratnia streets.

purpose

The purpose of the competition is to obtain the best architectural, spatial and functional-utility concept for the building of the Kobierzyce Cultural Center branch together with the surrounding square in Wysoka.

terms and conditions

The competition is an implementation competition, limited, one-stage.

The building of the Cultural Center in Wysoka should house a multi-purpose auditorium with a permanent stage and an auditorium for 250 seats, rooms for activity sections, a branch of the community library and a community meeting room.

The main functional groups should be connected by a common entrance hall, which will serve as a public coworking and exhibition space on a daily basis, and as a classical foyer at times of larger events.

In terms of land use, it is planned to create quality recreational spaces for various user groups, the spatial and architectural expression of which should harmonize with the architecture of the building. The area around the building is to serve as an open recreational space aimed at diverse users. Particular care is to be taken with the small-scale architecture and the designed vegetation, which is to respond to the local context, as well as to the conditions of the changing climate (water retention, natural shading ofthe space, etc.).

It is expected that the proposed solutions will be characterized by high spatial and material quality, and the architecture will be adequate for the function of the local cultural center - a public building serving the residents on a daily basis.

  • First Prize - PLN 70,000 gross and an invitation to negotiate a sole-source contract to provide a service based on the competition work
  • II Prize - 40 000 PLN gross
  • Third Prize - PLN 30,000 gross
  • Two awards - PLN 10,000 gross each
