descriptionOn December 16, a nationwide competition for the best solutions bringing new quality to urban and architectural space was settled at the Kielce University of Technology: "Space for All".
Its idea is to promote the principles of universal design. This is thinking about space that works for everyone - without barriers, without exclusions and without exceptions. It is this approach that increasingly sets the direction of contemporary architecture.
14 universities from the region, 68 submitted projects and one common theme - space accessible to all.
The jury composed of:
- Prof. Urszula Forczek-Brataniec - Chairman of the Court
- Marcin Galas - referee
- Wojciech Głowacki
- Dr. Wojciech Gwizdak
- Mariusz Twardowski, PhD
awarded three main prizes and three honorable mentions.
The winners of the competition were: Luiza Żaczek of the Rzeszów University of Technology (thesis: "A City for People. Implementation of SUMP guidelines in the project for revitalization of downtown Rzeszow", Martyna Wolanin from the Cracow University of Technology (work: "ZŁOCIEŃ - Day Support and Activity House for Persons with Memory Disorders") and Szymon Musiałowski from the Poznań University of Technology (work: "Wilderness of Culture").

The rector of Swietokrzyska Polytechnic (winners: Wiktoria Baćkowska and Klauda Mraz ) and the dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction (winner: Aleksandra Farbiś, winner: Karol Mitręga) also presented their special awards.
The competition showed that young architects can combine social sensitivity with modern design.
