On April 1, 2025, presentations of 9 diploma theses took place at the headquarters of SARP O/Wrocław at 21 Oławska Street. The Wrocław branch of the Association of Polish Architects, together with the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Technology and the Lower Silesian Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, awarded prizes in the competition for the best engineering diploma project defended in the academic year 2022/23 and 2023/24 (double edition).

The competition was aimed at graduates and graduates of engineering studies of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of Wrocław University of Technology.

The main criterion for the evaluation of the thesis submitted for the Award was the outstanding architectural and urban design values of the project.

The submitted works were evaluated by the Competition Jury consisting of:

  • Piotr Zybura - President of SARP O/Wrocław, Chairman of the Committee
  • Roman Czajka - vice-dean for education WA PWr
  • Anna Kościuk - chairwoman of DSOIA RP
  • Maciej Lose - KSK SARP O/Wrocław
  • Marcin Major - KSK SARP O/Wrocław

After evaluating the diploma projects, the Competition Jury decided to award the Grand Prize to the work "Interaction Space. Center of local activity. Wolomin" by Bartłomiej Urbanowski. The author received a one-time stipend of 5000 PLN.

The jury also awarded two honorable mentions, which were given to: Wiktor Sawoch (thesis: "Low-carbon housing on the site of a former textile factory inBrněnec in the Czech Republic") and Piotr Tymcio (thesis: "Conversion and expansion of an inactive farm into a workshop and exposition complex with residential functions / Asuny, Warmia").
