OVO Grąbczewscy Architekci "Playing Architecture"

17 of February '20

The Katowice-based studio OVO Grąbczewscy Architekci will show its exhibition at one of Europe's most prestigious architectural galleries. On March 12 this year, the Katowice-based studio invites you to an exhibition entitled "Playing Architecture" at Berlin's Architektur Galerie. The group Glass Eyes will play during the opening.

Berlin: playing architecture by a Polish studio

The title Playing Architecture is an exploration of the boundaries between the discipline imposed by context, law, budget and the laws of physics and the designer's imagination and freedom.

As if in a manifesto, the Grąbczewskis disagree with architectural boredom and boxy buildings. They encourage dialogue and playing together. The watchword is "architecture for everyone" - accessible, giving both pleasure and benefit. Everyone is invited to play, and surprise is one of the methods of action.

The exhibition is curated by Ulrich Müller - director of Berlin's Architektur Galerie, and the meeting with Oskar Grąbczewski will be moderated by Marcin Szczelina. The exhibition will run until April 26 this year.
