The must have 2021 LDF plebiscite has been decided! Here are the 75 best products of Polish design

07 of May '21

A few days before the start of the 15th anniversary edition of the Łódź Design Festival, one of the most important international design festivals, we got to know the results of the must have 2021 plebiscite. In the competition, the jury selects the best design products by Polish designers. This year, as many as 75 were awarded!

plebiscite for the best polish design

The 15th edition of Łódź Design Festival is fast approaching. It will start already on the 14th and will last until May 23 this year. This year's festival will be held in a hybrid formula: partly online, partly stationary. The guiding theme of the 15th edition will be urban activities, and the entire event will be held under the slogan "Better."

However, the organizers decided to announce a little earlier the results of one of the plebiscites decided as part of the LDF. This is the must have plebiscite, in which design products by domestic designers that are also a reflection of the latest trends in the art of design compete.

Must have is a freely given, most recognizable and independent seal of quality used by Polish companies at home and abroad. Its purpose is to support the creative industries sector by promoting products that are the result of cooperation between a manufacturer and a designer. The plebiscite provides an opportunity to present the awarded project to a wide audience at the Łódź Design Festival 2021.

Both as a resident of Lodz and as the director of the Lodz Event Center, I am glad that in our city for 15 years there has been a festival that gives direction to contemporary design, says Maciej Łaski, director of the Lodz Event Center .

75 awards

In the 11th edition of the must have plebiscite, the jury awarded as many as 75 projects out of 341 submissions. The jury was composed of Anna Grużewska, Dominika Olszyna, Agnieszka Gruszczyńska-Hyc, Magda Świć, Paweł Rafa, Agnieszka Polkowska, Iwona Ławecka-Marczewska, Katarzyna Księżopolska, Zbigniew Maćków, Michał Mazur, Paulina Górska and Michał Piernikowski.

The awarded projects will be seen not only online. Traditionally, they will be presented at an exhibition in the market square of Lodz Manufaktura. The exhibition will be open for visitors throughout the festival. In the meantime, we invite you to view the gallery, where you will find all the awarded works.
