Premiere of OVO brand at Warsaw Home fair

12 of October '19

This year's edition of the Warsaw Home international home furnishings trade fair featured the official unveiling of the OVO brand, a Polish manufacturer of premium modular wall panels. It was an opportunity to present two premiere collections: OVO+ and SHAPES, which were co-created by leading Polish and foreign designers, including the winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, the winner of the International Property Award 2016/2017 or the creators of the images used to decorate boutiques of brands such as Dior, Hermes, Christian Louboutin.

The manufacturer's booth was filled primarily with products from the OVO+ line, a flagship modular collection for the most demanding customers. Products in this series are a collection of various patterns, compositions, they can perform both the function of a painting, but also, thanks to the possibility of multiplying their number, comprehensive development of large areas. Each of these panel models is the author's work of a particular designer, is his business card, carries his specific message.

When designing the panels for OVO, we were inspired by stone bricks, ceramic blocks and their geometry. We wanted to transfer the aesthetics of raw, urban, unplastered masonry to the interior. Innovative stone veneer technology on lightweight milled MDF panels helped us create a solution to bring this authentic material to places where it was previously technically impossible. We transferred a piece of Brick Lane, my favorite street in East London, its hard-edged character, to interiors - the casual ones, but also the luxurious ones. We wanted hotel guests, apartment owners, office users and public spaces to be able to feel the touch of the cool, rough stone," says Piotr Kalinowski, award-winning interior designer and co-author of the Brick Lane by MIXD panels in the OVO+ collection.

Designers who co-create the brand's products also include. Michał Kozłowski and Klaudia Żmuda, award-winning graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, seeking above all original solutions with which one can emotionally connect (their work was coordinated by Michał Biernacki, winner of many prestigious awards such as Red Dot Best of the Best 2012 and Red Dot Design Award 2010); Alina Czarnecka and Bruno Chavanne, a pair of French-Polish visual artists whose collaborative works have resonated in several galleries in Paris and London, and have been used to decorate boutiques of brands such as Dior, Hermes and Christian Louboutin; or Roberta Banqueri Serra, a São Paulo-based winner of the Silver A' Design Awards (2018-2019).

The second collection of the OVO brand, which was presented at the brand launch, is called SHAPES. It combines the synergy of three shapes (circle, square, hexagon) and selected decors. As a result, it offers a modular, personalized combination of materials such as stabilized moss, veneer (including stone), raw concrete, aged wood, rust or shiny gold. Within this collection, there are two product choices - "SHAPES selected" is a set of ready-made compositions created by the brand's designers, or "SHAPES unlimited", which allows you to create a fully personalized product in terms of size, shape and material.

We are pleased that during the Warsaw Home fair we were able to present to such a large number of visitors the results that we have been able to develop during many years of accumulating experience in the interior design industry. The OVO brand is the result of hundreds of meetings, thousands of days of research, millions of ideas. It is a response to the growing need to surround oneself with objects that are unique, designed in every detail. It is a consequence of the search for solutions that grow with spaces. Such a positive reception of our products at the fair confirmed my conviction that thanks to the commitment of our entire team and selected designers working with us, we have created a product that will give a peculiar character to many a home interior or complement a functional space," says Wojciech Paczka, founder of the OVO brand.
